I spent some time in Coachella Valley and got to enjoy a few of the Desert X exhibits. If you're at Coachella, they're worth checking out. I hope to catch the rest of the Desert X exhibits before they close in September 2017.
The desert has been used as a landscape by numerous local artists. The Desert X exhibits (both indoors and out) are free and family friendly. It's a very cool way to experience Coachella Valley since the exhibits cover a good distance from White Water (just west of Palm Springs and the wind turbines) to La Quinta to the east.
